At Nuclear for BC, we are committed to proactive engagement, education, and collaboration in advocating for civil nuclear technology as a pivotal component of British Columbia's transition to a cleaner and more prosperous future.

We firmly believe that nuclear energy is essential for the province’s clean energy goals by lowering greenhouse gas emissions while fostering economic growth and enhancing energy security in our province.

Mission: To ensure that civil nuclear technology receives the recognition it deserves in discussions about clean energy solutions in British Columbia. Through proactive engagement, education, and collaboration, we aim to inform and empower the public, policymakers, and stakeholders about the benefits of nuclear power as a safe, reliable, and low-carbon energy source.

Vision: To be the recognized authority in British Columbia for the responsible and innovative integration of civilian nuclear energy, contributing to a fair, sustainable, and prosperous energy transition while enhancing energy security, stimulating local economic development, and respecting Indigenous and environmental values.

Advocacy

Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the development and integration of nuclear energy into British Columbia’s energy mix.

Education

Provide factual information and resources to foster understanding and informed decision-making regarding nuclear energy.

Center of Excellence for Nuclear Energy

Establish a hub for education, training, and industry support in Western Canada.

Ivan Syreyshchikov

Treasurer and Director

Ivan is a leader whose experience in the nuclear industry includes the development and operation of Nuclear Power Plants, Radioactive Waste Management, and Environmental Projects.

Hugh Turner

Secretary and Director

Hugh has over two decades of industry experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Bulk Material Handling, Ports, and the Hydrogen Highway , and has a background in Engineering Physics.
