The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure a respectful, safe, and positive environment for all members, staff, volunteers and stakeholders associated with Nuclear for BC. This Code applies to all members and is designed to guide their conduct and decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with the mission and values of Nuclear for BC.
– Treat all individuals with respect, recognizing the inherent dignity and worth of every person.
– Use inclusive and respectful language, avoiding any form of discriminatory or offensive remarks.
– Act with honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions and activities.
– Perform all responsibilities and commitments in a timely and efficient manner, using your best efforts, experience, and qualifications to achieve the highest standards of performance.

– Represent Nuclear for BC positively and uphold its mission and values.
– Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained as a member. This includes, but is not limited to, members and customer lists, research data, financial information, plans, and any other proprietary information related to Nuclear for BC.
– Confidential Information remains the property of Nuclear for BC and must be kept confidential, not disclosed to others except with prior written consent.
– The use of Confidential Information is strictly limited to activities supporting Nuclear for BC’s mission and must not be used for personal gain or disclosed to third parties without proper authorization.
– Prioritize the safety and well-being of yourself and others at all times.
– Report any unsafe conditions or behaviors to the appropriate authority within the organization immediately.
– Fulfill your member duties to the best of your ability, ensuring reliability and punctuality.
– Communicate any absences or inability to fulfill commitments to the appropriate person as soon as possible.
– Work cooperatively with staff, other members, and stakeholders.
– Support and assist others to achieve common goals and foster a collaborative environment.
– Harassment, bullying, or discrimination in any form is strictly prohibited.
– Avoid any behavior that could be perceived as intimidating, hostile, or unwelcome.
2. Violence and Abuse
– Physical or verbal abuse, threats, or any form of violence will not be tolerated.
– Avoid actions that could harm the physical or emotional well-being of others.
3. Substance Abuse
– The use of illegal drugs during member activities is prohibited.
– Do not participate in organizational activities while under the influence of substances that impair your ability to perform your duties.
4. Theft and Fraud
– Engaging in theft, fraud, or any form of dishonest behavior is prohibited.
– Respect the property of the organization, its stakeholders, and other members.
5. Abuse in Digital Communications
– Any form of abusive, offensive, or harmful language in digital communications, including emails, text messages, online forums, or during virtual workshops and meetings, is strictly prohibited.
– Sending unsolicited or unwelcome communications, including threats, offensive comments, or harassment via digital platforms, is considered unacceptable behavior.
– Respect the boundaries and privacy of others in all forms of digital interactions, avoiding spam or excessive messaging.
– Report any violations of this Code of Conduct to your member coordinator or another designated authority within the organization. – Ensure that reports are made in good faith with the intention of promoting a safe and respectful environment.
– All reports will be handled promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
– Investigations will be conducted, and appropriate actions will be taken based on the findings.
– Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including termination of membership.
– The organization reserves the right to take legal action if necessary.
